Zachary Rockov, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Harborview Medical Center and an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. He specializes in the care of patients with complex musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures of the extremities, pelvis, and acetabulum, as well as periarticular injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. In addition, he treats complications such as nonunion, malunion, and infection following fracture care. 

 

Dr. Rockov is actively engaged in clinical research, with interests in fracture healing, nonunion, periarticular injuries, and strategies to optimize patient recovery after orthopaedic trauma. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented his work at national and international meetings. He earned his medical degree with distinction from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he served as chief resident, followed by fellowship training in orthopaedic traumatology at Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Rockov is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Trauma, and the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders Program.
