William Hurley, M.D., is a board certified physician and medical toxicologist in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center and a UW associate professor of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Hurley especially enjoys helping patients and families in times of crisis and being an active participant in the comprehensive and compassionate mission at Harborview.

Dr. Hurley earned his M.D. from the University Of Colorado. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology and is a fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Medical Toxicology.

Dr. Hurley served with distinction with the U.S. Army in Somalia and Iraq. He is a past member of the board of directors of Washington American College of Emergency Physicians and the Governor’s Steering Committee for EMS and Trauma.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Hurley enjoys water sports, including stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and SCUBA diving.
