About Tomoko Akaike
Tomoko Akaike, MD, is a dermatologist who specializes in skin oncology. Dr. Akaike believes in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to treating skin cancer and other skin diseases. She ensures that every patient is well-informed and actively engaged in their treatment decisions. Her priority is delivering personalized care to achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr. Akaike's clinical expertise includes Merkel cell carcinoma (Biomarkers, circulating tumor DNA testing; Radiation Oncology, hypofractionated radiotherapy), Cutaneous lymphoma, and Melanoma. She is also an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Washington.

Outside of work, Dr. Akaike enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, scuba diving, and traveling, where she loves exploring new restaurants and immersing herself in different cultures. She is also a yoga enthusiast and a dog lover.
