Tim Carey, M.D., is the team ophthalmologist for the Seattle Seahawks and the UW Athletic Department.

Dr. Carey grew up in Seattle and went to grade school, high school and college within a few miles of his office. That gives him a sense of pride in serving this community. He also served in Iraq in trauma surgery.

A UW graduate, Dr. Carey is Board certified in Ophthalmology. His practice is largely centered around Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Carey specializes in eyelid surgery including cosmetic blepharoplasty, ptosis repair and eyelid reconstruction following tumor removal or trauma.

He also specializes in orbital surgery including thyroid eye disease, orbital fracture repair and lacrimal surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Personal Interests

Dr. Carey enjoys cycling, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, golfing, kayaking and generally enjoying this great part of the country. He has a daughter and a son.
