Chronic pain, Rehabilitation psychology

Tiara M. Dillworth, Ph.D., is a psychologist at the Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Dillworth believes listening to patients' needs and goals are a key part of working successfully with them. Those goals might not just be on improving symptoms, but also what provides meaning and quality in their lives. This helps inform the treatment plan and gives an outline for how to approach the presenting problems.

Dr. Dillworth earned her Ph.D. at the UW. Her clinical interests include chronic pain, cultural diversity, adjustment to disability, behavioral interventions, hypnosis and relaxation. Her research interests include alcohol and substance use and the effects of behavioral interventions on chronic pain in many different populations.

Personal Interests

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Dillworth enjoys spending time outdoors rock climbing and backpacking.
