I would've liked there to be more of a conversation between me and the MD. She was nice but was more directive rather than asking me what I already do around my health. [...] She didn't even ask what I do or had done. It felt dismissive of my experience.

Dr. Gulkandia is a good listener and very compassionate. She seems very thorough in checking in about ongoing concerns.

While I understood the need for an initial assessment during Dr. Gulkhandia's first year, the second visit involved identical questions regarding my medical history-including dates of my last mammogram and colonoscopy-despite this information being accessible in my chart from prior UW appointments. This approach does not reflect holistic or coordinated healthcare, as I would expect within the UW system. The lack of visibility into my records or sufficient review of my chart prior to appointments has resulted in my care feeling routine and impersonal, rather than tailored and thorough. [...]

Sudha Gulkhandia is an absolute gem! Despite what I am sure was a busy day for her, she took the time to listen, show concern and kindness, talk through medical options and performed my physical. I felt heard, cared for, and she was very professional and thorough. Her type of care and communication is what I expect from a modern and effective clinic and should be considered the model. Her nurse [...] was also very kind, thoughtful and relayed accurate Info to Sudha. They made a great team. Dr. Gulkhandia, her MA/nurse, the receptionist, and the lab technician were all phenomenal, it was the best experience to the doctors office I have ever had in my entire life.

I'm very happy with the care I receive through UW medicine, and especially happy with Dr Gulkhandia and the team at Issaquah. She is professional, knowledgeable, caring, she listens and discusses my complex and overlapping conditions. She is responsive when I have asked questions via the portal or by phone. The only downside is the distance I travel from Tumwater/Olympia. It is worth it to me.
