About Shilpa T. Verma
Shilpa Verma, M.D., is a board certified pediatric anesthesiologist at Seattle Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Bellevue Surgery Center and Harborview. She is also a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Verma’s goal, whether it be the most healthy or complex patient, is to listen and address the concerns of the caregiver as well as provide safe, compassionate and outstanding care to each patient she meets.
Dr. Verma earned her M.D. at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College in India. She is triple board certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology, Anesthesiology and Pediatrics. She served on the OR medication committee to help reduce medication errors in the operating room. She has worked with neonatologists and pediatric intensivists to improve handoff of patient care between the operating room and ICU. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Pediatric Anesthesia.
