Biography

Shelia B. Dunaway, M.D., is a board certified physician at Harborview’s Infectious Diseases & Tropical Medicine Clinic, Madison Clinic, and AIDS Clinical Trials Unit and at Federal Way University Physicians HIV Clinic. She is also a UW assistant professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Medicine.

During her medical career, Dr. Dunaway has developed an appreciation of the complexities involved in HIV infection.The social issues, the stigma and associated medical problems are barriers that must be dealt with. She enjoys treating patients as a whole and working with them to improve their overall health.

 Dr. Dunaway earned her M.D. at the University of Tennessee. She is board certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include multidisciplinary approaches to care for patients with HIV/AIDS and eveloping more tolerable and effective therapeutic regimens for patients with HIV/AIDS.
