Sheela Sathyanarayana, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified pediatrician at the Pediatric and the Occupational and Environmental Clinics at Harborview and a UW associate professor of General Pediatrics and an adjunct associate professor of Environmental and Occupational Health Services. She is also an investigator at Seattle Children’s Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development.
Dr. Sathyanarayana works on listening to patient concerns in order to be able to address them in the most comprehensive manner.
Dr. Sathyanarayana earned her M.D. at USC. Her research interests focus on exposures to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and their impact on reproductive development. She has given several presentations on endocrine disruptors and their potential impact on human health. She is clinical director of The Infant Development and Environment Study, a multi-center examination of phthalate exposures in pregnancy and health outcomes in children.
