Dr. Skerett is the best. I am sad to see him go on retirement but I am happy for him at the same time. We will miss him. He was most effective with my father, Edison. Shawn Skerrett, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.C.C.P., is a board certified physician, medical director of the Chest Clinic at Harborview and a UW professor of Medicine and Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He is listed in Best Doctors in America and in America's Top Doctors.
Dr. Skerrett is an expert in lung diseases, infectious diseases and critical care medicine. He also conducts research on immunity against bacterial infections of the lungs. His approach is to listen carefully and treat the patient, not the disease.
Dr. Skerrett earned his M.D. at New York University. He is quadruple board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Chest Physicians. His clinical and research interests include critical care and immunity against bacterial lung infections.
