Shahin Hakimian, M.D., is a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy.
Dr. Hakimian earned his M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed residency training in neurology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University. He then joined the epilepsy program at the University of Washington, Seattle, as a senior fellow in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. He is board-certified in neurology with added qualification in clinical neurophysiology.
Dr. Hakimian clinical interests include epilepsy, systems neurobiology, computational methods for analysis of biological signals and quantitative methods of EEG analysis. His research interests include epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, EEG and clinical neurophysiology of the central nervous system.
Dr. Hakimian is a UW associate professor of neurology. He strives to provide the help his patients need to not only manage their condition but also have a better quality of life.
