Sarah Wahlster, M.D., is a neurologist and neurointensivist at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Wahlster earned her M.D. at the Ruprecht-Karls Universitat Heidelberg, Germany. She completed her neurology training at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Partners Neurology Residency Program, Boston. She also completed subspecialty training in neurocritical care at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. She is board-certified in neurology.
In addition to attending on the neurology and neurocritical inpatient services, one of Dr. Wahlster’s clinical interests include improving medical education and forming research collaborations in developing countries. She currently works with physicians in Lima, Peru to improve stroke care, including prevention, acute care and rehabilitation.
Dr. Wahlster is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Neurocritical Care Society and the Society for Critical Care Medicine.
