Dr. Campbell grew up in Sitka, Alaska and attended Lewis & Clark College for undergrad, where she studied psychology and Hispanic Studies. After a few years of working as a full-time research coordinator, she realized that she wanted to be a pediatrician. She completed the post-bac pre-med program at University of Virginia, where she met my now-husband (who is a psychiatry intern at UW this year)! She began medical school at Dartmouth and transferred to Emory, where her husband was a med student, so they could have a baby. They welcomed their baby boy in Feb 2021! She took an extra year of med school during which she conducted research on early relational health in a safety net primary care clinic (and also got to spend plenty of time at home with her baby!). She hope to be a pediatric hospitalist and is very interested in lactation medicine.
