Sarah Albaum is a fantastic NP and my primary care provider. I have been seeing her for at least [...] years, possibly [...]. I am also a cancer patient at Fred Hutch and see an oncologist there and have many appts. Sarah took the time before my appt on Monday to read through my chart and was up to date on my cancer status and acknowledged that she supported my request to have a second opinion re my cancer tx at UCSF. So often in my [...] years as a cancer patient I have found my primary care providers do not have the time or the ? To understand my cancer dx and treatment. It means so much to me that Sarah takes the time, as it is an integral part of my overall health care and health concerns. I was reluctant to chose a UW clinic for my primary care as I live on [...] so this involves a ferry ride to and from for appts. I chose it as I knew the MyChart would be integrated with Fred Hutch and am so happy I found Sarah Albaum. Highly recommend .

Sarah Albaum is a very good listener, as the problem I have is very complex and extremely rare, it is a genetic mutation that only happens in (there are just over a thousand people on the registry in the United States and Canada) very few people. It is extremely complex, and it affects each person differently and she has been able to direct my care to the people that are most able to help with my care. FD/MAS is not curable, has few treatment options, and is very painful. The best PC I have had in over [...] years. It took me [...] years to find someone to really look at the research I had done as to what was really wrong with me and then get me to the right Specialists that confirm this.
