Safina Hossain, M.D., is a resident physician at UW Medical Center.
Dr. Hossain wants her patients to feel that she cares for who they are as a person as well as providing them high quality care for their medical problems. She values patients who are interested in partnering to improve their health and truly desire to achieve physical and mental wellness.
Dr. Hossain earned her M.D. from the University of Texas at Houston. She has conducted research on improving diagnosis time and oncology referral in patients with suspicious signs of cancer. This research was presented at the Society of General Internal Medicine annual meeting in 2015. Additionally, she is heavily interested in patient advocacy and worked with Doctors for Change in Houston to improve access to care. She is a member of the American Medical Association and Alpha Omega Alpha.
In her free time Dr. Hossain enjoys hiking, reading, cooking and exploring new coffee shops.
