About Sachita P. Shah
Sachita Shah, M.D., is a board certified physician in the Emergency Department at Harborview and a UW associate professor of Emergency Medicine.
Shah is also an expert in ultrasound in emergency and resource-limited settings. She enjoys providing emergency care to patients and working closely with the acute care team to provide patients with a holistic approach to their care.
Dr. Shah earned her M.D. from the UW. She has published many research articles on emergency ultrasound and has used this expertise to develop unique training curricula for medical students, resident physicians and nurses worldwide.
In addition to her affiliation at UW, Dr. Shah is the director of ultrasound education for a non-governmental organization called Partners In Health. Her clinical and research interests include emergency ultrasound, point-of-care ultrasound in resource limited settings, global health, emergency medicine education and trauma.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Shar loves spending time with her children and doing yoga. She is learning to play kids' campfire songs on the acoustic guitar.
