Rochelle L. Garcia, M.D. is a general surgical pathologist with subspecialty expertise in gynecologic and breast pathology and is devoted to teaching and international service. She is a UW professor of pathology and adjunct professor of gynecology.
Dr. Garcia graduated from University of Washington’s School of Medicine in 1989. After practicing a year of internal medicine at the University of Washington, she completed pathology training 1994. She is board certified in cytopathology, in addition to anatomic and clinical pathology. She was recently listed in Seattle Met as a "Top Doctor."
Dr. Garcia believes in making thoughtful, careful diagnoses and writing clear, thoughtful reports that effectively communicate to the treating physician. This communication helps educate physicians who then can more effectively explain the disease processes to their patients.
Dr. Garcia enjoys staying active, especially with yoga, biking and gardening. She loves reading and playing the piano.
