Renato Martins, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified oncologist, UW Medicine’s medical director of Outpatient Oncology and Hematology, associate medical director of Non-Transplant Adult Oncology, director of Research at SCCA, the UW’s Stephen Hans Petersdorf Endowed Chair in Cancer Care and a UW professor of Medicine and Oncology.
Dr. Martins understands that an oncological diagnosis affects patients and their families in a profound way. Caring for the patients must include attention to their and their family's needs.
Dr. Martins earned his M.D. at the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and his M.P.H. at Harvard. His clinical and research interests include lung cancer, head and neck cancer, clinical trial design and new drug development.
In his free time Dr. Renato enjoys playing squash and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
