Renata Ferreira, M.D., is an anesthesiologist at UW Medical Center, a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and director of UW's cardiothoracic anesthesia education.
Dr. Ferreira is expert at providing anesthesia care for cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery patients, interventional cardiology patients and structural heart disease. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Ferreira earned her M.D. at Universidade do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is board-certified in anesthesiology and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Dr. Ferreira’s clinical interests include cardiothoracic anesthesiology, perioperative echocardiography, blood conservation strategies and pregnancy in patients with cardiovascular disease. Her research interests include blood conservation in cardiac surgery, perioperative TEE and use of simulation for medical education purposes.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Ferreira enjoys traveling, skiing and spending time with her family.
