Rahul Kuver, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist at the Digestive Health Center at UW Medical Center, director of the UW Gastroenterology Fellowship Program and a UW associate professor of Gastroenterology and Medicine.

Dr. Kuver aims to provide compassionate and thoughtful care to patients using state-of-the-art knowledge that is evidence-based.

Dr. Kuver earned his M.D. at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His research interests include biliary epithelial cell biology. This includes studies on cellular and molecular processes involved in cholesterol transport, mucin secretion and carcinogenesis. This basic science work contributes to our understanding of a diverse array of disorders affecting the biliary system, such as gallstone disease, bile duct cancers and cystic fibrosis.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Kuver enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his family, such as mountain biking, skiing and hiking.
