Peter Wu, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at the VA Puget Sound, director of the VA Cancer Telemedicine Program and the UW Harkins Resident Education Symposium, principal investigator for the VA Puget Sound Gastrointestinal Tumor Tissue Repository, a member of the UW Medical Student Research Training Program Committee and a UW associate professor of Surgery.

Dr. Wu’s main role is to provide leadership and promote education for veterans diagnosed with many forms of cancer. His goal is to provide patients personalized and comprehensive care in a multidisciplinary environment and support the educational mission of the profession and institution.

Dr. Wu earned his M.D. at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He maintains a surgical oncology research laboratory based at the VA Puget Sound.
