Peter Rabinovitch, M.D., Ph.D., is a pathologist at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Pathology and director of the UW's Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging.

For the past 30 years Dr. Rabinovitch has been a leader in the field of flow cytometry, particularly in applications of DNA content and cell cycle analysis to solid tumors. He has specialized, with numerous publications, in applying flow cytometry as a biomarker of cancer risk in premalignant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Dr. Rabinovitch earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the UW. His clinical and research interests include applications of flow cytometry and DNA content analysis to solid neoplasms, cell cycle, genomic instability and aging as cancer risks.
