Biography

Peter Nelson, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Glomerular Disease Kidney Clinic at UW Medical Center and a UW associate professor of Nephrology. He oversees the research and regional networking of the UW Glomerular Disease Center of Excellence.

Dr. Nelson strives to provide compassionate, up-to-date care to patients suffering from glomerular diseases, utilizing the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment. Central to this philosophy is accounting for each patient's unique experience of their disease and its impact in their life.

Dr. Nelson earned his M.D. at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. His clinical and research interests include development of new therapies and biomarkers for glomerular diseases.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Nelson enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and family time.
