Paul Sutton, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified physician at the UWMC-Roosevelt General Internal Medicine Clinic and a UW associate professor of General Internal Medicine and an adjunct associate professor Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education. He is also the UW Medicine IT Services associate medical director for Inpatient Systems and a scholar with the UW Medicine Center for Scholarship in Patient Care, Quality and Safety.
Dr. Sutton enjoys spending time with patients, working toward optimization of health. He enjoys building relationships with patients and families, and views teaching and learning as equal parts of his life.
Dr. Sutton earned his M.D. from the University of Chicago and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Society for Hospital Medicine and the American Medical Informatics Association.
In his free time Dr. Sutton enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and the outdoors.
