Paul Drain, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., is a board certified physician at the Madison Clinic at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Global Health and Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Drain strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Drain earned his M.D. and M.P.H. at the UW. He is board certified in both Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. His research focuses on diagnostic point-of-care tests and clinic-based screening for tuberculosis and HIV in resource-limited settings. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, Harvard Global Health Institute, Harvard University, Infectious Disease Society of America and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
