Patrick Javid, M.D., is a surgeon in Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery and lead surgeon in the Intestinal Care Program at Seattle Children's Hospital and a UW associate professor of Surgery. He also attends at Seattle Children's Tri-Cities Clinic.

Dr. Javid feels it is an honor to provide surgical care for infants and children. He has two young children, and he strives to treat patients and their families just like he would want his own children to be treated.

Dr. Javid earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan. His primary focus, both clinically and in the lab, is pediatric intestinal failure. His laboratory focuses on long-term outcomes and translational research in pediatric intestinal failure and short bowel syndrome.
