About Owen Ross Beirne
Ross Beirne, D.M.D., Ph.D., is a UW professor and chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and associate adjunct professor at UC San Francisco.
Dr. Beirne has clinical expertise in reconstructive surgery, bone grafting, implants, trauma and anesthesia.
Dr. Beirne earned his D.M.D. at Harvard and his Ph.D. at UC San Francisco. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is president of the Washington State Component of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a councilor for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Research Group, American Association for Dental Research, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, associate editor of the Journal of Oral Implantology and a member of the Editorial Board of Anesthesia Progress and the Journal of Evident Based Dental Practice.
