[...] I was surprised that Dr. Akoum was unaware of the fact that I am also a physician. It indicated to me that he had not taken much time to delve into my chart prior to my visit with him. Small thing, but it can go a long way. Patients all the time appreciate the doctor having an understanding of their history, etc.
Dr. Akoum provided me with very helpful information and planning to address my cardiology needs. Very considerate and knowledgeable.

Just a great overall visit. Thanks!
This was my first visit to Dr. Akoum. He is part of the team of cardiologists who have been working with me since the spring of 2021. As with the rest of the team, I was quite pleased with the experience. Everyone in the Heart Institute group has met all of my expectations and I am pleased with the care I receive from them. They saved my life!!
Dr. Akoum is a wonderful, professional physician. We are so blessed to have such a great doctor.
