Very pleasant experience with Dr. Fernando and his assistant.

Dr. Fernando is thorough and always addresses my concerns. The only bad experience that I have had was in trying to cancel an appointment due to illness. I was on on hold for more than an hour. I finally had my daughter call a different number while I remained on hold; they answered within 15 min & cancelled the appointment. I had called the clinic & she called the UW Med scheduling number.

Dr. Fernando and his team are outstanding

Dr Fernando is very engaging, collaborative, and informative. I'm really grateful he's my surgeon. It honestly doesn't bother me at all that I had to wait, I know he's very busy.

The doctor gave me more possibilities than I expected to hear, and listened to my questions and concerns. We never felt rushed and we felt we were given a generous amount of time with the dr. He gave us much confidence.

I have some unusual risk factors and comorbidities. Dr. Fernando had an understanding of how they interacted with my surgery and had suggestions on ways to mitigate some of the issues. He also reassured me that, although they aren't the usual risk factors or comorbidities they typically face, he has dealt with them before. His willingness to discuss everything allowed me to feel seen and heard, and I feel much more confident heading Into such a challenging surgery and recovery.
