Navin Fernando, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at Northwest Primary and Specialty Care North Seattle and a UW assistant professor of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Fernando strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Fernando earned his M.D. at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He is dual board certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. His clinical interests include minimally invasive total hip and knee replacement and complex total joint revision and hip impingement. His research interests include clinical outcome studies and diagnosis and management of periprosthetic infection.
