About Nathalia Jimenez
Dr. Jimenez is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and a UW associate professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine. She is also a core faculty member at Harborview Injury Prevention Center where she conducts research on traumatic brain injury among vulnerable pediatric populations.
Dr. Jimenez earned her M.D. from the Universidad Javeriana School of Medicine in Bogota, Colombia, where she also completed her anesthesia training. She came to the UW as a pediatric anesthesia fellow. At UW she also did a two year clinical research fellowship after completing her clinical fellowship. She joined the faculty at Seattle Children's Hospital and the UW Medical Center in 2005.
Dr. Jimenez completed a master's in public health with the Epidemiology Department at the UW School of Public Health in 2005. Her research in health outcomes among vulnerable children has been funded by internal grants from the UW and Seattle Children's as well as the National Institutes of Medicine.
Dr. Jimenez is a member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia Research Committee since 2008 and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Injury Violence and Poison Prevention since 2015.
