Nahush A. Mokadam, M.D., is co-director of Heart Transplantation and the program director for Mechanical Circulatory Support at UW Medical Center.
Dr. Mokadam develops partnerships with his patients to provide the highest level of surgical therapy for the heart. He is dedicated to heart transplant and ventricular assist device programs. He also specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, off-pump coronary artery bypass, endovascular aortic surgery, percutaneous valve surgery and complex mitral valve surgery.
Dr. Mokadam is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include heart transplant, mechanical circulatory support, aortic root reconstruction, transcatheter valves, valvular heart disease and coronary revascularization. His research interests include cardiac surgery simulation, outcomes research, surgical education, stem cell therapy and ischemia/reperfusion injury.
In his spare time, Dr. Mokadam enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, golfing, cycling and traveling.
