About Mohamed L Sorror
Mohamed Sorror, M.D., M.Sc., is an associate member of Clinical Research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and a UW associate professor of Oncology.
Dr. Sorror manages his patients the same way he would manage his own family members. He encourages participation by patients in decision-making based on the information provided.
Dr. Sorror earned his M.B.B.Ch. from the University of Assiut in Egypt. His research efforts are focused on advancing biomedical knowledge on means and tools for treatment decision-making for patients with hematological malignancies, particularly those treated with HCT. While Dr. Sorror spends most of his time performing clinical and laboratory research, he spends two months annually as an attending physician on the transplantation services at UW Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Dr. Sorror holds hematology research leadership positions with national and international committees, publications and organizations.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Sorror enjoys spending time with my family, running marathons, hiking, snowshoeing and traveling.
