Dr. Eldeiry holds a unique background, beginning his academic journey at Colorado State University, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering. His interest in medicine led him to the University of Colorado Medical School, where he completed his M.D. before going on to train at the University of Colorado Hospital for both his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of modern surgery, Dr. Eldeiry further honed his expertise with a specialized fellowship in robotic cardiac surgery in one of the busiest robotic cardiac surgery program, Ascension St. Thomas. His work focuses on utilizing cutting-edge robotic technologies to improve outcomes in complex cardiac procedures, with an emphasis on precision and efficiency.
In his role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Dr. Eldeiry integrates his vast clinical experience with his academic interests, conducting research aimed at advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery and teaching surgical techniques to medical students and residents. He is particularly passionate about finding innovative ways to improve surgical efficiency, enhance patient recovery times, and integrate new technologies into everyday practice.
