Shelly Mentzer, M.M.S., P.A.-C., is a board certified physician assistant and a night hospitalist for the Blood and Marrow Transplant service at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

Mentzer believes it takes a village to help patients through their transplant process. As a physician assistant, it is her job to help patients through the day-to-day process of their transplants and to understand the expectations of their care. It is imperative that the patient is a full member of the team and is actively involved.

Mentzer earned her M.M.S. from Emory University in Atlanta. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT).
