Michele Curatolo, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician at the Center for Pain Relief at UWMC-Roosevelt, director of the UW Medicine Interventional Pain Program, the UW’s Medical Education and Research Endowed Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and a UW professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Curatolo has a long experience in the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic and cancer pain. His main expertise is in interventional pain procedures in a context of multimodal management of pain syndromes. He provides individualized state-of-the-art care of acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Curatolo earned his M.D. at the University of Messina, Italy and his Ph.D. at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. He has been awarded several prizes for his contribution to pain medicine and an honorary doctorate at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. Read his publications.
