Bio

Michael Sobel, M.D., is a vascular surgeon.

Dr. Sobel earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He was a surgical resident at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and at Guys Hospital in London, United Kingdom. He was also a research fellow at Harvard University in Boston and a fellow in peripheral vascular surgery at New York University in New York. He is board-certified in vascular surgery.

Dr. Sobel's clinical interests include disorders of the veins and arteries.  His research in the areas of inflammation and vascular healing are currently funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs and by the National Institutes of Health. He is a University of Washington professor of surgery at the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Healthcare System.
