Bio

Dr. Sobel's areas of interest include disorders of the veins and arteries.

He is a UW professor of surgery at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System.

He earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was a surgical resident at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and Guys Hospital in London. He was a research fellow at Harvard University and a fellow in peripheral vascular surgery at New York University.

He is board-certified in Vascular Surgery.

Research Interests

Dr. Sobel's research in the areas of inflammation and vascular healing are currently funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and by the National Institutes of Health.
