About Michael Vincent Rafer
Michael Rafer, PA-C, MCHS, is a board-certified physician assistant at UW Medical Center – Montlake, and a teaching associate for the Department of Surgery in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Michael assists in surgery, specializing in endoscopic conduit harvest. He values a collaborative relationship with his patients and strives to incorporate evidence-based knowledge to the practice of medicine. Michael believes working in cardiac surgery allows him to meet his patient in their most vulnerable time and, through collaborative work, help restore them to their families.
He and his wife have four children and enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest. Since growing up in Canada, he continued his love for hockey in Seattle through playing recreationally with the Greater Seattle Hockey League.
