Michael Boeckh, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician at SCCA's Infectious Disease Consulting Service, head of the Infectious Disease Sciences Program at Fred Hutch and a UW professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Medicine.
Dr. Boeckh strives to treat patients with respect and dignity at the highest level of expertise.
Dr. Boeckh earned his M.D. and Ph.D. at Freie University Berlin. He is a full member of Fred Hutch's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division and Clinical Research Division. He conducts research in infection in the immunocompromised host. Infections of particular interest include cytomegalovirus, respiratory viruses and varicella zoster virus. His clinical interests include respiratory virus infections in immunocompromised hosts, biomarkers, molecular diagnostics, disease associations, pathogenesis, immune response, treatment and prevention.
In his free time Dr. Boeckh enjoys family, classical music and outdoor activities.
