Matthew Valento, M.D., is a board certified physician in the Emergency Department at Harborview, co-medical director of the Washington Poison Center, site director of Medical Toxicology and a UW assistant professor of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Valento feels privileged to care for emergency department patients in times of need. He finds it very rewarding to help people from all walks of life. What excites him most is working as part of an effective team in the resuscitation of critically ill patients.

Dr. Valento earned his his M.D. from New York University. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology.

In his free time Dr. Valento enjoys distance running and mountaineering
