About Matthew Old
Matthew Old, MD, FACS, is a board certified otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon specializing in the comprehensive treatment of head and neck cancers and reconstruction. Treating head and neck cancer requires personalized approaches to disease management and restoring essential functions such as speech, swallowing and appearance. Dr. Old's approach integrates advanced therapies, surgery, radiation and reconstructive procedures within multidisciplinary teams and emphasizes functional outcomes to make sure patients can return to meaningful lives after treatment.
Dr. Old's clinical expertise includes head and neck surgery and oncology, reconstruction, skin cancer, paragangliomas, thyroid and parathyroid disease. He is also a Professor and Chair of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington.
Personal Interests
Dr. Old enjoys spending time with his family as well as cooking, swimming, bicycling, traveling, hiking, skiing and fly-fishing.
