About Kathy Plakovic

Kathy Plakovic, M.S.N., FNP-BC, A.C.H.P.N., A.O.C.N.P., is a board-certified oncology nurse practitioner at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and a UW teaching associate of Medicine.

Plakovic strives to understand patients’ preferences for care with the goal of improving the quality of life for people living with cancer.

Plakovic received her medical education at the University of Texas, San Antonio. She is triple board certified in Family Practice, Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Oncology. She is a published author and has lectured widely. She was honored with the “Excellence in Clinical Practice” award by Sigma Theta Tau.

Personal Interests

In her free time Plakovic enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She also likes to cook, travel, and spend time in nature.
