BiographyMary Pew, M.D., is a board certified physician at North Public Health Center, supervisor of Seattle Children’s primary care residents and a UW professor of Pediatrics.
Dr. Pew believes patient care works best when the patients and their parents are getting the information they need to make their own decisions. She hopes to encourage more Seattle Children's residents to see the rewards of primary care pediatrics.
Dr. Pew earned her M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical interests include behavioral pediatrics and promoting healthy relationships among parents, children and their primary care providers. Her research interests include normal child development and parenting, behavioral evaluations and interventions, cultural and economic sensitivity and establishing a medical home.
Personal InterestsIn her free time Dr. Pew enjoys bicycling, sailing, gardening, knitting and family.
