Mark Brakstad, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at UW Medicine Surgical Services and Hernia Center and a UW associate professor of Surgery.

Dr. Brakstad specializes in minimally invasive surgeries using advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques, with a surgical focus in general surgery, breast surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He is unconditionally committed to excellent patient care and supporting the patient and their family through the healing process. 

Dr. Brakstad earned his M.D. at the UW. He is board certified in both General Surgery and Pediatrics.

In his free time Dr. Brakstad enjoys fishing, sports and family.
