About Marc D. Coltrera
Mark Coltrera, M.D., is a board certified physician and chief of Head and Neck Surgery at the Seattle VA Medical Center. He also practices at UW Medical Center’s Head and Neck Surgery Center and SCCA. Dr. Coltrara is a UW professor of Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Coltrera believes modern technology is capable of many things, but the best results come from relationships between physicians and patients in which both share responsibility and knowledge to balance quality of life with outcome.
Dr. Coltrera earned his M.D. at Yale. Focusing on diseases of the thyroid and parathyroids, he is a national expert in the use of ultrasound in head and neck surgery and the diagnosis of head and neck disease. His clinical and research interests include diseases of the thyroid and parathyroids and cell proliferation control in normal and malignant cells.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Coltrera enjoys astronomy, aviation, community service organizations, garden design and parenting.
