Mara Roth, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Endocrine and Diabetes Care Center at UWMC-Roosevelt and the Endocrine Neoplasia Clinic at SCCA and a UW assistant professor of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition.
Dr. Roth specializes in male reproductive physiology, thyroid disease and thyroid cancer. Her philosophy is to work with patients to better understand the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disease.
Dr. Roth earned her M.D. from Brown. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology She is an active member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association and is co-chairman on the Trainee Affairs Committee for the the American Society of Andrology. In addition to her clinic duties, Dr. Roth is an NIH funded researcher, working towards the development of a male hormonal contraceptive. She is also developing research to improve thyroid cancer diagnostics.
In her free time Dr. Roth enjoys hiking, gardening and exploring with her husband and two sons.
