About Lorinda Anne Soma
Lorinda Soma, M.D., is a board certified pathologist and a UW assistant professor of Laboratory Medicine. She is also associate director of UWMC's Flow Cytometry Lab and Hematology Pathology Fellowship.
Although she doesn't meet face-to-face with patients, she is directly involved in their diagnosis. Her goal is to provide the best diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic information in the most cost-effective and timely manner possible.
Dr. Soma earned her M.D. at the University of Minnesota. She is a fellow of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and a member of the United States and Canadian Association of Pathologists, the Society of Hematopathology, the American Society of Hematology, International Clinical Cytometry Society and the American Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists. Her primary research interests are related to characterization and prognostication of reactive and neoplastic lymphoid processes.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Soma enjoys hiking, dancing, and reining/working cow horses.
