Leslie J. Heron, A.R.N.P. sees patients in the Survivorship Clinic at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
Bringing her expertise as a family nurse practitioner to an oncology setting, Heron is able to assist cancer survivors with the late and long-term effects of their cancer treatments as they transition from oncology to primary care.
Heron's clinical interests include cancer survivorship, fertility, intimacy and sexuality issues for cancer survivors, patient education advocacy, self care and lifestyle management for optimum health, the transition of young adult cancer survivors into the adult health system, integrative care, nurse coaching, and linking cancer survivorship to primary care.
Heron sees her role as a patient advocate and educator. She provides education, tools and resources to cancer survivors after they have completed their acute treatments, empowering them to live life to the fullest after cancer.
Heron enjoys gardening, kayaking, cooking, doing yoga and meditation.
