Laurie Soine, Ph.D., A.R.N.P., is a board certified nurse practitioner in the UW Medicine departments of Radiology and Medicine, and lead nurse practitioner for its Regional Heart Center. In 2013, she was awarded the UW School of Nursing Distinguished Practitioner Award for demonstrating nursing care excellence. She is also a UW teaching associate and chair of the UW Medical Center Nurse Practitioner Council.

Dr. Soine earned her medical degrees from the UW. She is board-certified as both an acute and adult nurse practitioner.

Dr. Soine's clinical research interests include patients' health perceptions, self-care habits and professional nursing practice. Her research interests include the impact of what patients know and its effect on clinical outcomes, and factors associated with professional nursing practice.

Personal Interests

Soine enjoys hiking, boating, gardening and reading in her spare time.
