Biography

Laurent Bollag, M.D., is UW Medicine's chief of Obstetric Anesthesia and a UW associate professor or Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Bollag also directs UW Medicine's Obstetric Anesthesia fellows.

Dr. Bollag believes one size does not fit all. His personal philosophy is to deliver individualized, compassionate, safety-focused and evidence-based care. His area of expertise are Obstetric Anesthesiology with a special interest in pain management after Cesarean Deliveries and Regional Anesthesia.

Dr. Bollag earned his M.D. from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He has published in the field of Obstetric and Regional Anesthesia and is an ad-hoc reviewer for various medical journals. He has presented at regional, national and international meetings and visiting professorships. His current scholarly activities are focused on clinical research and education.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Bollag enjoys family, tennis and downhill skiing.
