Dr Dean is the pinnacle of health care providers. He's deeply knowledgeable, actively listens, talks up to me as if I was a peer and we agree on a plan of care as opposed to deciding what needs to be done and dictating it. He is attentive, flexible and genuinely concerned about my health. I leave with a deeper understanding of why the course of treatment was agreed on and what alternatives were available and the associated risks and benefits. I can tell he Is a rebel and not constrained to do what's typical but has studied literature and Is willing to offer aggressive treatment when he knows I desire It while educating me about the risks and rewards of an aggressive treatment plan. He makes me feel like he thinks I'm smart enough to understand the procedures and care plan and explains them to my satisfaction. It's easy to like and trust nearly any doctor, but In my experience, he Is the quintessential healthcare provider. He is also deeply humble, and shares when he doesn't know something. He offers to do research on subjects he Is unsure of and gets back to me.
